ABOUT US

The Skelmanthorpe Historical Society has been in existence for many years and members meet regularly to exchange information and ideas. Meetings either include artefacts, or papers with a local history theme presented by members and friends, or guest speakers on a variety of topics. 

Meetings are usually held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Darby and Joan club , Barrowstead, Skelmanthorpe at 7:30 pm.

Entry is free for members and guests are asked to pay £3 per session. Annual membership is £15. This is set so we have enough funds to pay room rental and occasional speakers.
